Artist statement

I am still exploring the human figure, mainly in a life class each week. Last November I started a series of Pueblo Blancos of the Axarquia to celebrate the beautiful landscape  in which I live. Some are purely abstract and some almost realistic. They are not meant to be a representative interpretation of the place but are about my reflections, colours, feelings and memories. I have followed this through into various landscape paintings of my local area too.
